Project Manager In The Space Simulation LabAs a Project Manager in the Space Simulation Lab, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex space simulation projects while maintaining the highest safety standards. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives across lab operations and project management methodologies.Key job responsibilities:Lead end-to-end project management for space simulation initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and deliveryImplement and enforce safety protocols and improvements for all lab activities, ensuring 100% compliance with safety standardsDevelop project schedules, resource plans, and budgets for multiple concurrent projectsIdentify and mitigate risks through proactive planning and regular risk assessment reviewsDrive continuous improvement by analyzing project metrics, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing process enhancementsFacilitate cross-functional communication between engineering, research, operations, and leadership teamsCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including safety procedures, test protocols, and lessons learnedLead incident investigations when safety events occur and implement corrective actionsPerform procurement activities through multiple channels to complete projectsBasic qualifications:3+ years of program or project management experienceExperience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvementsExperience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teamsExperience implementing and maintaining safety protocols in laboratory or industrial settings and proficiency with project management tools and methodologiesDemonstrated track record of leading continuous improvement initiativesPreferred qualifications:3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience3+ years of driving process improvements experienceExperience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organizationExperience building processes, project management, and schedulesBachelor's degree, or Master's degreeKnowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQLAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
