Motorsports Truck DriverThe Motorsports Truck Driver would have an important role on the Pratt Miller Motorsports Team and have responsibilities both at the shop and track. The role is based at Pratt Miller's headquarters in New Hudson, MI and requires travel to IMSA races and team tests.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Provide adequate communication of needs to the managersAlign processes and quality of work with overall team expectationKnow the electronic logging for the Race Tractors in addition to working with the Pratt Miller operational staff to align the Race Operations practices with the companyWork with appropriate groups within Pratt Miller to ensure that tractors and trailers have the proper licensing and permittingIdentify opportunities for improvement and help formulate a plan for improvementsExecution of routine and emergency maintenance for the tractor and trailer fleet preparation and maintenancePerform pre- and post-trip inspectionsAbility to obtain a passport and travel via international border land crossings within North America.Truck Inventory:Utilize team checklist and other processes to ensure that each truck has proper inventory for each event, noting that the inventory may differ for each event- such as track spare partsEnsure all truck drivers utilize and adhere to the same processesTrackside executionUnload and load trailersMake sure tractor/trailer presentation and cleaning is performedTruck driver roles at the track include, but are not limited to: Pit lane setupStocking pit equipment with necessary suppliesMaintaining and cleaning pit equipmentTeam hospitality supportShop Execution:Organization and cleanliness of work areaEnsure all necessary changes/repairs are done to pit equipment between eventsWork with the Lead Truck Driver to create a common level of preparation on all the race car equipmentBring any issues to Lead Truck Driver and Operations Manager for solutionsMaintain proper care for the equipment at all timesHelp with feedback on the long-term equipment planning and process improvementAdditional Duties And Responsibilities:Support Pratt Miller initiatives such as marketing eventsAttend monthly meetings with the Operations Manager on current and future goalsEssential Knowledge and Skills:5 years or greater commercial driving experience with valid CDL for manual transmission2 years or greater IMSA motorsports experience or equivalentCDL and clean driving record requiredWork Environment/Physical Demands:Stress may occur periodicallyLong hours may be required at timesPhysical labor is a regular part of daily workTravel of up to 60% is required including holidays and weekendsDevelop and refine team-oriented mindsetPay Range: $63,500.00 - $101,700.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
