This is an exciting opportunity to join the senior team of a progressive, young organization that is mobilizing the American Jewish community to confront the climate crisis with spiritual audacity and bold political action. Through a growing network of Dayenu Circles across the country and partnerships with Jewish communal institutions and multifaith and secular climate organizations, we’re mobilizing, training, and taking collective action to advance systemic solutions to the climate crisis, at the scale that science and justice demand. Manage and contribute to the development of volunteer leaders through regular trainings, coaching, regional gatherings, workshops, and community building. Team Leadership (35%) Lead and support Dayenu’s Campaigns & Organizing Team to advance Dayenu’s mission, achieve individual and team goals, prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion in our campaigns and organizing work, and support the professional growth of every team member. Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff as needed. Strategy and Organizational Leadership (30%) Develop and implement strategies to confront the climate crisis, including advocating for legislation and regulation, changing the political landscape, and moving resources away from fossil fuels to clean energy. Seek out opportunities where Dayenu brings strategic added value to the larger climate movement and prioritize campaigns that address the disproportionate impacts of the climate crisis on Black & Brown communities, Indigenous communities, and other groups at the frontline of the climate crisis. Evolve Dayenu’s organizing strategy to grow our base, including experimenting and iterating new organizing tactics, further developing digital organizing tools, and empowering volunteer leaders. Contribute to overall organizational strategy, decision-making, prioritization, and learning. Collaborate across teams to support Dayenu’s partnerships, communication, and spiritual resourcing work.
