Shine Bright./ppResponsibilities include but not limited to: The golf courses, maintenance equipment, maintenance center, sod nursery, water features, etc./pulliDaily task assignments for the staff using Task Tracker or other software as needed/liliCourse Set-up/liliChemical and Fertilizer applications/liliTraining Staff on all equipment and task/liliIrrigation repairs/liliPayroll/liliOperations of Turfbreeze fans and Subair/liliBasic Knowledge of the Clubhouse, Resort, Activity Center and housing irrigation systems/liliCommunication with Pro Shop/li/ulpstrongRequired Skills/Abilities:/strong/pulliTwo or four-year degree preferably in golf course or turf grass management or related field. If the degree is not specifically in turf or golf course management, candidates with other degree must have extensive training in turf or golf course management field./liliTwo years management experience required/liliGCSAA Class A or CGCS in good standing preferred/liliValid Virginia pesticide/fertilizer license preferred/liliMust possess and maintain a valid Virginia drivers license or CDL, meet the requirements of driver insurability as established by the Employers insurance carrier and must immediately report any change in status of the license to the Employer./liliRequires advanced knowledge of agronomy and turf grass management practices; a working knowledge of golf facility construction principles, practices and methods; and a thorough understanding of the rules and strategies of the game of golf/liliRequires excellent oral and written communications skills./liliComprehend reading materials, speak, read and write English/liliMust be able to frequently use a computer./li/ulpstrongWorking Conditions/Environment:/strong/ppMajority of the work is performed outdoors in various weather and ground conditions common to Virginia./pulliExposure to maintenance equipment; including but not limited to moving parts, heights, noise, airborne debris, vibration and fumes./liliMaintain a clean, safe and environmentally responsible work environment./li/ulpstrongPhysical Mental Requirements:/strong/pulliHave physical strength, stamina and agility at levels necessary to perform common golf course operations tasks./liliEmployee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds with assistance./liliMust be able to walk, sit and stand for a long period of time, as a daily routine./liliMust be able to communicate effectively with the general public/liliMust be able to ascend/descend stairs and slopes as a daily routine./liliMust be able to professionally interact and participate with co-workers and have a sense of TEAM./li/ulpEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/p/div
