Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?Pratt & Whitney is seeking an energetic self-starter to join its Military Engines (ME) Support Equipment (SE) Procurement Team as a Buyer. This Buyer will work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with Pratt & Whitney's supply base as well as internal cross functional teams. The Buyer will follow procurement process, standards, and operational plans, and send out RFPs, negotiate with Suppliers and issue Purchase Orders. The Buyer will part of a team of procurement professionals who gets things done and are committed to supporting the War Fighter. Ability to adapt and manage changing requirements is a must. Buyer to have a passion for accuracy and responsiveness to our customers and supply base.What You Will DoExecutes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program execution.Manage Statement of Work (SOW) agreements, Standard and Service Purchase Orders as well as negotiate pricing, contractual terms, and lead time. Also control costs and perform price analysisManage vendor relationships and performance and maintain accuracy of purchasing documents and data. Also, build and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers and a focus on supplier developmentTroubleshoot issues within SAP with key stakeholders (Fleet Management/Customer Accounts/Buyers/Delivery Assurance/Quality). Also, utilize data to strategically award Purchase OrdersConsistently and effectively communicate requirements and changes to Suppliers, Customers and cross functional teams as well as lead and support Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) activities such as standard workWork closely with internal organizations such as Quality, SE Fleet Management, Delivery Assurance, Contracts, and Program as well as ensure compliance with applicable Procurement Manual Regulations, Requirements, and P&W policies. Maintain accuracy of purchasing documents and data and also control costs and perform price analysisManage vendor relationships and performance as well as manage and support delivery schedule to customers. Ensure compliance with applicable Procurement Manual Regulations, Requirements, and P&W policies as well as support process improvementsQualifications You Must HaveBachelor's degree with 2+ years of experienceExperience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word)U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractQualifications We PreferSAP ProficiencyAbility to work independently and in a team settingAnalytical thinkingStrong communication skillsKnowledge of FARS/DFARSAbility to adapt and manage changing rapidly changing requirements and problem solvePrior procurement experienceThe salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
