As a Senior Project Manager you will:Work on medium to large-scale complex, cross-departmental projects that have a direct impact on the companyWork independently to drive work forward, escalating issues and asking questions as neededGet work done through others, collaborate with partners and influence stakeholders to accomplish goalsExhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the workDrive cross-functional projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed; manage complex up and downstream project impacts.Conduct regular meetings with the project team. Document progress and report to stakeholders on project status.Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project deliveryForge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitmentsIdentify ways to improve and streamline business processLeverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentationDemonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomesDemonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demandsDisplay strong consulting and collaboration skillsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Military experienceAt least 3 years of Project Management experiencePreferred Qualifications:Masters / MBA degree5+ years of Project Management experiencePMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certificationStrong communication and collaboration skillsStrong problem solving and influencing skillsWork experience achieving results with complex projectsAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Remote (Regardless of Location): $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Project ManagerMcLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Project ManagerRichmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Project ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
