Cardella Construction Company is seeking a forward-thinking, hands-on, and highly motivated Director of Innovation & Technology to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead the technology function for a construction company that values innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.This role will serve as Cardella Construction’s first dedicated IT hire, responsible for setting the technology vision while also supporting the day-to-day IT needs of our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about construction technology, fluent in Procore, curious about AI and emerging tools, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves to support both field and office teams.What you’ll be up to:Lead and evolve Cardella Construction’s IT and technology strategy in alignment with business goalsServe as the internal expert for Procore and all other construction technology platforms, including Microsoft Office and Sage IntacctIdentify, evaluate, and implement innovative solutions, including AI-driven tools and automationAttend construction technology trade shows, conferences, and vendor demonstrationsSupport field and office teams with technology solutions that improve efficiency and collaborationProvide hands-on IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and access issuesSet up computers, devices, and software for new hires and role changesManage IT asset inventory, including purchasing, tracking, and disposal of equipmentEstablish IT standards, policies, and cybersecurity best practicesWork with department leads to spearhead innovation through the use of technologyPartner with leadership to plan for the future growth of the IT function, with the opportunity to build a teamWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of progressive IT experience, preferably within construction or a related industryStrong working knowledge of Procore and construction technology ecosystemsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and Sage Intacct is a plusExperience evaluating and implementing new technologies, including AI toolsComfortable working in a hands-on role while also setting long-term strategyOrganized, proactive, and solution-oriented mindsetStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsThis is a great opportunity to be part of of fast-growing company where your contributions will make an immediate impact
