Electrician-High VoltageAmentum is seeking an Electrician-High Voltage to join our team in Springfield, VA and support our government customer. Must be a U.S. Citizen and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Responsibilities include the following: A High Voltage Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.Experience and Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.Medium voltage experience.Familiarity with electrical controls systemsFamiliarity with NECAbility to lift up to 45 lbs.Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)NETA III Certification or, NICET II Electrical Power Testing or Virginia ElectricalJourneyman's license/certificate.NICET I Electrical Power Testing preferred.Electrical Journeyman's license/certificate or 10 yrs.Experience in commercial/industrial setting.Master Electrician's license preferred.OSHA 30 Card preferredNFPA 70E Certification preferred.Compensation Details: Original Posting: 01/20/2026 - Until Filled Amentum anticipates this job requisition will remain open for at least three days, with a closing date no earlier than three days after the original posting.
