Motivated by teamwork, accountability, and excellence, they understand that financial accuracy is rooted in trust, stewardship, and doing what's rightevery time.What you'll do: As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will work closely with project managers, vendors, and leadership to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting excellence.Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including electronic payments and company credit card transactions.Review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring accuracy, documentation, and timely approvals.Set up and maintain vendor accounts, including W-9s, Certificates of Insurance, and subpackets.Collaborate with department heads and project managers to ensure correct coding and approvals.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies with professionalism and efficiency.Maintain organized digital records, reports, and payable files.Support month-end closing and other accounting functions in collaboration with the Controller.Process employee expense reports and assist with credit card reconciliations.Ensure compliance with tax, lien, and payment documentation requirements.Assist with weekly check runs and special accounting projects as assigned.QualificationsRequired:23 years of verifiable experience in full-cycle accounts payable for companies with $10M+ in annual revenue.High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred).Solid understanding of general ledger systems, financial controls, and payables best practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Workspace.Experience with Sage or similar accounting software.Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred:Experience in the construction or restoration industries.Familiarity with lien laws, 1099 processing, and vendor compliance documentation.If you're ready to bring your financial leadership to a purpose-driven organization and make a lasting impactapply now and join the Mooring family.
