1st Shift Dispatcher

An established trucking company located in Kalamazoo, MI is looking to add an experienced Dispatcher to the team. The ideal candidate will be laid back, yet MOTIVATED to crush those goals, and have work experience dispatching in the transportation/trucking industry.

The Work: This position will dispatch drivers on over-the-road routes all across the U.S.

We are looking for someone who will bring what we encompass: great attitudes, great work ethics, and drive to get the job done timely and correctly.

Position will be salaried + earned commissions

Job Requirements:
Qualifications/Job Requirements:

Previous experience in logistics in the transportation industry;

Assign drivers, truck and trailers;

Finding/booking outside freight to keep fleet busy and profitable;

Booking drivers on company freight during spring & fall seasons;

Review and monitor driver logs and drive time for drivers;

Adherence to all required safety policies and procedures;

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, & ability to calmly work through any issues that may arise;

Computer literate. Must be able to use company software and databases to view & enter data timely and accurately;

Ability to meet or exceed established goals set;

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

Ability to work independently & use good judgement when plans change or issues arise.
