Kiewit Building Group Superintendent PositionWe are adding Superintendents to our Kiewit Building Group to support our growing project portfolio around the country. As a Superintendent for us, you will lead and supervise all aspects of these advanced technologies projects and industrial EPC construction projects. We are looking for Superintendents in all disciplines (Electrical, MEP, Civil, Structural). In this role your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Perform daily inspections of work for Safety, Quality and Productivity with our subcontract and trade partners for Industrial Buildings. Assure proper planning and communication is happening for all operations that you oversee. Identify and solve problems that arise. Establish budgetary guidelines for the job and ensure that cost control measures are being followed. Provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel. Establish quality standards of all jobs and ensure that all quality assurance and company standards are being met. The initial project location will be in the El Paso Texas/Santa Teresa New Mexico Area. We provide relocation to the project or per diem/trips home options. You must be willing to work at the site full time for the duration of the project.ResponsibilitiesProvide supervisory direction of craft personnel via internal or external general foreman, managing the performance of productivity, safety, quality and schedule adherenceAct as liaison between field engineering and project craft to ensure compliance of construction drawings and specificationsCoordinate and interface effectively with other superintendents and subcontractors, as well as Kiewit staff personnel and leadership to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherenceResolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriateAssist in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirementsEnsure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Company's non-harassment and nondiscrimination policiesQualificationsAbility to travel and relocate as needed5+ years' work experience in the construction industry, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory rolePrevious knowledge/experience in vertical building setting required, and experience working as the General Contractor overseeing subs and trade partners is required.Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documentsDemonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performanceHighly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiativeStrong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first timeDemonstrated commitment to ethics and integrityPassion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurtStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectivesStrong organization, time management, and attention to detailOther Requirements:Regular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
