Labor & Employment Attorney – Raleigh, North Carolina


LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney. This is a long-term contract role. The ideal Candidate will be experienced in Labor and Employment law with substantive knowledge and primarily manage labor and employment matters including but not limited to handling EEOC claims, Department of Labor investigations, wage and hour matters. This candidate should feel comfortable working autonomously while relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.


Responsibilities

  • Review and draft routine legal documents and conduct legal research
  • Create and maintain case files and be able to handle cases from inception to trial and/or settlement/mediation/arbitration
  • Assist and meet with clients giving employment advice and maintain valued relationships with internal and external vendors
  • Facilitate organization strategies to meet Court deadlines efficiently
  • Participate in fact investigation and the negotiation of legal disputes
  • Adhere to all labor and employment state and federal compliance regulations/laws


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • J.D. from an accredited law school required
  • Barred in North Carolina and in good standing with the Bar Association
  • Prior Labor & Employment Law experience
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of standard MS Office Suite and Legal Research Search Engines
