We are hiring an EHS specialist / RSO with previous radiation safety experience to work with a Biotech company that is leading the way in transformative nuclear medicine for oncology research.


You will hold a KEY role by leading the team specifically within radiation safety as well as other areas including hazardous waste, radioactive materials, chemicals and industrial hygiene.


Pay: $80K - $120K DOE

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and perform investigations related to radiation safety issues.
  • Formulates corrective action plans within Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and ensures hazards are resolved.
  • Keeps detailed records of hazards, follow-up actions, and inspection data.
  • Collects, segregates, and manages waste according to regulations and departmental protocols.
  • Provides technical advice on safety, chemical, radiation, and environmental issues across healthcare, research, and academic settings.
  • Conducts audits, trend analyses, and site inspections to ensure safety in facility design and for staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Participates in regular facility inspections to ensure compliance with biosafety, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, laboratory, radiation, and general safety standards.
  • Reports non-compliance or hazardous conditions to principal investigators and managers.
  • Assists in collecting environmental and industrial hygiene samples using various monitoring, sampling, and analytical tools and equipment.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required preferably in Radiation Safety.
  • MUST HAVE 2-5 years of radiation safety experience required.
  • Experience working with radioactive materials, hazardous waste, chemical agents
  • Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulatory standards.
