Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes
- ldentify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
- Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive advantage and cost savings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production planning and inventory control
- Utilize MRP systems and other tools to track and manage procurement activities
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- proven experience as a junior buyer or similar role in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management
- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar ERP systems for procurement activities
- Familiarity with E-commerce platforms for sourci ng and purchasing goods
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze market data and make informed decisions
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles and practices
- Experience with production planning and logistics coordination
