Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Team Lead Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required. Level 1 experience is required. License: Compact or State License required at time of submission. Certifications: HSPA or CRCST certification required. CHL certification preferred. Must-Have: Must have 2 plus years of supervisor experience. Level 1 experience required. HSPA or CRCST certification is required; CHL preferred. Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. 1 reference from a charge nurse or supervisor is required at time of submission. Description: The Sterile Processing Tech Team Lead is responsible for supervising the sterile processing team. This position requires adherence to sterile processing standards and protocols. Candidates must demonstrate acute hospital operating room experience and proficiency in aseptic techniques. Strong equipment documentation skills and leadership capabilities are essential. Compliance with sterile processing tech competency exams and skills is required. Candidates will be expected to manage staffing and scheduling effectively. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards within the sterile processing unit. This position necessitates familiarity with special procedures and interdisciplinary support systems. Patient diagnoses and procedural variations are fundamental elements of this position. Previous charge experience is not mandatory but will enhance candidacy. Travel experience in a relevant specialty is advantageous. All candidates must be aware of rehire eligibility policies.
