External Wholesaler

Long Short Advisors is seeking a seasoned External Wholesaler to join our team of investment professionals. The External will utilize their knowledge and skillset to market and distribute LSA’s mutual fund products to the financial advisor and registered investment advisor industry. This individual will work out of the firm's Philadelphia office.

Primary Responsibilities

·      Create new and manage existing relationships with RIA’s, family offices, trust companies, research departments, and regional wire houses

·      Initiate phone calls, cultivate new leads, set up meetings, and lead sales meetings

·      Present products knowledgably and effectively so potential investors can clearly identify the benefits

·      Attend industry events associated with the liquid alternatives space

·      Provide technical information about the products, which includes a strong knowledge of the competitive landscape

·      Assist with developing and implementing business plans as well as sales and marketing material as needed

·      Manage travel and entertainment account within allotted budget

·      Use CRM to effectively track sales goals

Desired Skills and Experience

·      Bachelor’s Degree (at minimum)

·      At least five years of internal/external wholesale experience

·      Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written

·      Proven track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance goals

·      Willingness to travel (50%+)

·      CRM experience

·      Advanced Excel and PowerPoint

·      CFA Preferred
