Electrical Design Engineer

Requirements:

  • Create detailed and coordinated construction documents using Revit or AutoCAD software.
  • Perform analysis, design, and documentation of power distribution, lighting systems, and backup power systems.
  • Perform design calculations for electrical loads and panel schedules.
  • Perform short circuit and arch fault calculations using SKM software.
  • Participate in construction administration duties including submittal and shop drawings reviews, site inspections, and responding to RFIs.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines including architects and mechanical/plumbing engineers.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field preferred but not required.
  • EIT or PE license is preferred but not required.
  • 1-5+ years of experience in electrical engineering within the MEP industry. Experience working on commercial, education, multi-family, mixed-use, or mission critical projects a plus.
  • Experience using Revit or AutoCAD required.
  • Experience with AGI 32, SKM, ETAP, Easypower or Newforma a plus.
  • Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), State Energy Code, NFPA guidelines and FGI guidelines required.
