If you embrace challenges as opportunities and seek to make a meaningful difference where you live, work, and play, our door is always open.A typical day as an experienced tax professional means youll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training youll need to be successful.It would be even better if you also had:Bachelors degree in accounting or related fieldCPA or Enrolled Agent certificationExperience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or taxExperience conducting virtual tax interviewsExperience with tax planning and audit supportSales and/or marketing experienceWhat you'll bring to the team:Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools video, phone, chat, emailPrepare complete and accurate tax returnsGenerate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and servicesProvide clients with IRS supportAll certification levels can provide tax notice servicesCircular 230 associates can provide audit representationMentor and support teammatesSuccessful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment*Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or taxExperience completing individual returnsExperience working in a fast-paced environmentComfort working with virtual tools video, phone and chatAbility to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writingMust meet IRS and applicable state requirementsHigh school diploma / equivalent or higherWhy work for us:At H&R Block, we believe and invest in our people by committing to their total well-being. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
