What You Will Do: As an LPN in our Otolaryngology (ENT) department, you will be an integral part of the patient care team, providing essential support to our physicians while ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will have the opportunity to work with patients in a variety of settings and participate in a wide range of clinical procedures. Work You Will Do: Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available. Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating patient records in the EHR system. Administer prescribed medications, including ear drops, nasal sprays, and other ENT-related treatments as directed by physicians. Perform basic clinical tasks such as hearing tests, allergy testing, and throat swabs. Assist with minor in-office procedures, including ear irrigation, nasal endoscopy, wound care, and suture removal. Sterilize and prepare medical instruments, equipment, and exam rooms to ensure a safe and efficient clinical environment. Educate patients and their families on ENT-related conditions, treatment options, and preventive care. Provide clear instructions regarding prescribed treatments, follow-up care, and home care instructions. Ensure patient comfort during examinations and procedures, addressing any concerns or questions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Manage the clinic's inventory of medical supplies, ensuring necessary materials are stocked and available for patient care. Assist with patient scheduling, coordinating follow-up appointments, and handling insurance verification. Work closely with other healthcare staff, including medical assistants and office personnel, to ensure smooth clinic operations. Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Perform other duties as assigned What is Necessary:Essential: Active LPN license in the state of Tennessee Current BLS certification Minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an ENT, surgical or outpatient environment Proficient in EMR systems, preferably EPIC Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care Maintain predictable and consistent attendance and punctuality Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist patients throughout the shift Preferred: Previous experience in an ENT or similar specialty clinic is a plus.
