We are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to join our Automation business segment. Whether it’s consumer goods, semiconductors, or lifesaving medical devices, our systems incorporate the latest technology in vision, motion, robotics, and lasers. Success Criteria


You have a knack for satisfying customers by leveraging your deep knowledge of all things automation. By applying a “whatever it takes” mentality to your work, the Senior Controls Engineer will own and drive some of the organizations most complex engineering challenges to produce industry-leading products and solutions. Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of controls engineering experience
  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering; MS degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects in their entirety, including tasks such as, but not limited to: Understanding customer requirements, designing controls systems in their entirety, writing all software (PLC, PC, HMI, robot, vision, etc), powering up machines and commissioning all devices, checking out all software and machine processes, leading Factory Acceptance Testing with customer, and supporting installation and Site Acceptance Testing
  • Ability to mentor and lead junior engineers in the execution in any/all steps of the control process listed above
  • Significant experience in the application of PLC/PC programming, motion control, robotics, and vision for automation. Preferably experience with the following: Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View, Cognex VisionPro and Insight, Fanuc TP Programming and RoboGuide, Epson RC+, Omron Sysmac Studio and Ace, Visual Studio C# and VB, or other relevant experience in this space
  • Ability to provide leadership and drive internal collaboration between multiple functions including Project Management, Operations, Quality, etc.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations (typically no more 10%, but on rare occasions may fluctuate up to 25% depending on business needs)
  • Experience in AutoCAD Electrical is nice to have
