Established food production company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for their packaging machinery maintenance technicians in the Boston, MA area The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and troubleshooting of food grade packaging equipment to ensure optimal equipment efficiency and maximize production up time. The packaging supervisor will work hand in hand with the Engineering Manager to accomplish department goals and progress maintenance practices. Responsibilities:


• Efficiently utilizes and train department personnel in packaging processes, equipment, and procedures

• Assists in developing and managing the annual spending plan

• Ensures proper maintenance planning to maximize plant assets

• Coordinates outside services to achieve spending plan goals, oversee vendors/contractors

• Documents needs and specifies inventories of supplies and spare parts

• Maintains technical knowledge through manuals and training

• Works with Packaging Coordinator to optimize equipment/materials interface

• Assists Plant Engineer with packaging-related projects

• Develops and maintains Preventative Maintenance and and best practices

• Supports, audits, and enforces adherence to quality standards


Qualifications:


• 3+ years of supervisory experience in maintenance of packaging systems in a manufacturing setting (required) food industry (preferred)

• BS in engineering OR equivalent technical training and certifications (required)

• Experience supervising maintenance and electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment (required) PLC troubleshooting and robotics (preferred)
