Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective designs, manufacturing processes and
  • methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards
  •  Recommends and implements improvements to product, production processes, methods
  • and controls
  •  Priorities include project management, process improvement, problem resolution, and
  • employee training
  •  Performs research, design and development of new and sustaining manufacturing processes
  • and tool design
  •  Performs process evaluations including production flow, assembly methods and waste
  • elimination
  •  Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment
  •  Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals,
  • training team members and evaluating results
  •  Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and
  • equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
  •  Responsible for providing creative and innovative engineering solutions that aid in the
  • resolution of field and manufacturing problems and in the maintenance and improvement of
  • existing products
  •  Responsible for implementing all phases of project plans and monitoring progress per
  • established schedule and budget targets
  •  Responsible for maintaining good relationships with customers, field personnel and other
  • Valmont departments to ensure the most efficient working environment
  •  Provide technical support to other departments as required toward meeting the needs of our
  • customers
  •  Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency
