About the Team

Our Advertising vision is to offer the most marketplace-centric advertising to connect our platform users (eaters, riders, and earners) with advertisers. Our Advertising platform brings together location based and shopping data with closed loop attribution across its mobility and delivery channels for performance and brand campaigns, enabling advertisers to engage with our consumers through the entire marketing funnel - from awareness through purchase to loyalty and advocacy for users.

About the Role

The Measurement Operations team is looking for an analytical and strategic problem solver to scale our deep dive analysis capabilities across all Sales verticals (Enterprise Restaurants, Strategic Verticals, and CPG), with the goal of improving efficiency, consistency and serving more brands’ data needs.

The Data Analyst will work with cross-functional teams to develop standardized deep dive frameworks and templates that can be used in QBR/MBR, pre-sales planning, mid-campaign upselling, and post-campaign recap, etc. This role will also collaborate with internal partners to optimize our go-to-market strategy, increase overall reporting product adoption. Leveraging your business acumen and technical skills (such as SQL, Python), you will derive both tactical and strategic insights and communicate them to senior leaders and our advertisers.

What You’ll Do

Standardized data insights and analysis capabilities

- Create scalable reporting framework and template to solve common analytics requests efficiently for all advertisers across all Uber Advertising sales verticals

Insights Enablement

- Create process, playbook, and automation toolings to enable internal Operations and Sales teams to effectively and efficiently utilize deep dive insights from the standardized data analytics templates

Advertising strategy

- Develop data-driven analysis with actionable recommendations to improve performance of Uber’s top advertisers’ campaigns

Efficiency improvement

- Utilize data analytics skills to identify opportunities to improve Measurement Operations team’s overall efficiency

Advocacy for local country and regional needs

- Establish deep understanding of the local needs and nuances by partnering with local Account Executives, Account Managers and Merchant Operations teams, in order to customize measurement operations for that country / region

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business analytics, data science, statistics, engineering, operational research or similar quantitative field.

2+ years of experience in data analytics / data science, measurement and insights, consulting, or strategy, preferably within digital advertising and/or technology

Advanced SQL, Python/R and Excel/Google Sheet proficiency

Advanced proficiency in data querying, data analysis and data visualization

Strong communication skills and abilities to collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, Strategy, and Sales teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with marketing / advertising measurement, analytics, and reporting within an advertising agency/consulting

Experience with A/B and multivariate test design and implementation and statistical concepts

Experience in developing and presenting strategic, action-oriented recommendations from complex analytics efficiently and engagingly to an executive audience

Experience with relationship building/management with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Product and Engineering
