At Piermont, we are purpose-driven, responsive and practical, delivering integrated and flexible solutions that create value for clients in today's fast-changing economy.As a Partnership Banking Lead, you will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships with SaaS companies, digital platforms, and corporates for SMB banking product referrals, co-branded marketing initiatives, and other affinity programs. Your focus will be on growing deposits and fee revenue by leveraging the bank's digital banking platform and API infrastructure. This position will report to the Chief Banking Officer and will play a crucial role in developing new business and contributing to the bank's growth strategy.Responsibilities:Identify and evaluate potential partners, including SMB-focused platforms, that align with Piermont's banking products and services.Develop referral channels that drive new account openings, deposits, and payment volume.Explore and structure co-branded or affinity products to expand the bank's market reach.Lead end-to-end negotiations with potential partners, ensuring favorable terms for deposit growth and fee revenue generation.Work with legal, compliance, and risk to structure partnerships within regulatory guidelines.Oversee the implementation of new partnerships, working cross-functionally with product, operations, and compliance teams.Establish key performance metrics to continuously optimize partnership programs for growth and profitability.Maintain strong relationships with partners to drive ongoing engagement and joint expansion.Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on partnership strategies that can further differentiate the bank.Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities in banking and digital payments.Qualifications:7+ years of experience in banking, fintech, payments, or financial services, with a strong focus on partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances.Deep understanding of fintech and SMB banking needs.Proven ability to structure and execute strategic partnerships that drive revenue generation.Strong negotiation skills with experience in complex deal-making.Excellent relationship management and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.The hiring range for this position is $145,000 to $180,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or incentives will be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, vision, 401k, and other benefits.Piermont Bank is an equal-opportunity employer.
