Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Silver Spring, MD for a Marketing and Communications Specialist. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and communication plans to promote the mission of NBNA, raise awareness of issues affecting black nurses and black communities, and engage members and stakeholders. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to create and execute marketing campaigns, manage social media platforms, produce content for various channels, coordinate events and webinars, and support the overall branding and messaging efforts of NBNA.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the healthcare or non-profit sector, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, branding, and messaging strategies
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing plans and communication strategies
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms and using social media management tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
