Job Description:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, reviewing system functionality, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of business processes, experience working within an Agile framework, and strong communication skills to effectively document and manage project work. The candidate will collaborate closely with development teams, subject matter experts, and end users to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture and document business requirements from various sources, including end-user interviews, subject matter experts, policy/procedure manuals, and business process reviews.
- Review and understand current system functionality and identify areas for improvement or enhancement.
- Work as an integral part of the development team, contributing to an Agile framework environment.
- Assist in the execution and validation of test cases to ensure functionality aligns with business needs.
- Manage and document project work using tools like Microsoft Application DevOps (ADO) or JIRA.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure clear communication of project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Participate in the refinement of processes and workflows to enhance project efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience capturing and analyzing business requirements from multiple sources.
- Proven ability to conduct end-user interviews, collaborate with subject matter experts, and review policy/procedure manuals and business processes.
- 3 or more years of experience working as part of a development team in an Agile framework environment.
- 3 or more years of experience assisting in or executing test cases.
- 2 years of experience using tools such as Microsoft Application DevOps (ADO) or JIRA to document and manage project work.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to various stakeholders.
Beneficial Skills (But Not Required):
- Prior experience working in similar industries or projects.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and familiarity with modern development practices.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
