Program Manager / Sr. Program ManagerThe Residential Light Commercial HVAC line of business at Copeland is looking for a Program Manager / Sr. Program Manager to lead high-visibility strategic growth programs within the variable speed technology segment.Reporting to the Vice President, Global Programs & Business Development, this position will have direct program leadership responsibility for the new product development and commercialization of a key new variable speed scroll platform, as well as lead various aspects of a joint venture effort to bring swing rotary technology to the Copeland residential portfolio.This is a highly visible role through all levels of Copeland leadership. Successful candidates will bring transferable skills and experiences leading large technical teams through disciplined stage-gate development as well as strong communications skills at various levels including senior business leaders.As the Program Manager / Sr. Program Manager, you will:Lead execution of new product development (NPD) programsOversee stage-gate process, including managing program requirements, schedule, and costImprove processes for faster NPD and technology maturityOversee NPD and portfolio reviewsDefine and track key performance metrics to measure product success and identify areas for improvementManage platform complexity, quality, cost reduction, and other sustaining activitiesOversee and manage product lifecycle - from ideation, market introduction, growth, to eventual phaseouts (ramp-up and ramp-down)Lead competitive analysis process with strong cross functional alignmentBe the voice of program management for enhanced business analytic toolsSupport product management and work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, procurement, manufacturing and other teams to ensure successful product-related activitiesSupport executive presentations and communicating to all levels of leadership, as appropriateCompetencies:Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills, experience managing and mentoring project teamsCritical Thinking: Ability to think critically, navigate in complex, ambiguous situations to drive business resultsCommunication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsAnalytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutionsProgram Management Expertise: Deep understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and best practicesTechnical Aptitude: Understanding the technical aspects of products and product developmentRequired education, experiences & skills:Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years relevant experienceExperience in program management, product management, engineering, product development, and/or related fieldStrong interpersonal skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to comfortably engage with executive leadershipHigh program, product, and business aptitudeTravel: 10%Preferred education, experiences & skillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or equivalentMaster's degree in Business Administration (MBA)HVAC industry experiencePrevious experience leading a Program Management teamOur Commitment to Our PeopleAcross the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
