Caregiver - Appointment Companion

BrightStar Care of Central Western Riverside County is actively seeking a qualified and compassionate caregiver to assist our clients with medical and non-medical appointments. Responsibilities include transporting the client in your vehicle, remaining with the client for the duration of the appointment and assisting with any assistive devices including walkers, wheelchairs or carts. Pay starts at $15/hr plus mileage. Work as much or as little as you want with a variety of assignments Full-Time, Part-Time or Per Diem. We will work with your schedule

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s or patient’s needs

• Providing assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping

• Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Caregiver Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of documented caregiver, home care assistance experience is required

• Professional licensure if applicable: CNA, HHA, LVN or RN

• High school diploma or GED

• CPR card certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross  

• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray

• Licensed driver with reliable automobile

• Proof of auto insurance 

• HCA Registration (California Home Care Aide) & LiveScan 

• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
