I'm partnered with the CFO of a billion-dollar manufacturing company near Hammond, Indiana. One of their business units is a leading supplier in their niche and are actively searching to identify an Accounting Supervisor to join their growing team. In this newly created role, you will be a key driver in improving efficiency and profitability of the business.
Description
Accounting Supervisor Responsibilties:
- Manage the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis, and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Support external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and implement process improvements as needed.
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Cost accounting experience a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Understanding and application of accounting principles/practices
- Strong business partnering and communication skills
