In this role, you will specialize in analyzing denied claims, performing follow-ups, and managing appeals to ensure prompt and ethical collection efforts. Your work will directly impact the financial health of healthcare providers by resolving outstanding hospital accounts and insurance denials efficiently. Requirements Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle, hospital billing, or related roles Knowledge of debt collection laws and HIPAA compliance Proficiency with EMR systems, insurance follow-up, and denial management Strong understanding of medical coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS), claims processing, and insurance regulations Moderate computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to interpret complex documents such as claims, medical records, and policies Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement Responsibilities Analyze denied claims to identify underlying issues and determine necessary follow-up actions Prepare and submit appeals with appropriate documentation and justification Communicate with payors to follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims and resolve denials Maintain detailed records of all claim activities within necessary systems Ensure timely filing and compliance with all regulations and guidelines Identify trends and opportunities for process improvement and communicate insights to management Escalate complex or challenging accounts to management as needed Perform administrative duties related to revenue recovery and system updates Respond to patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage as needed Benefits Great company and benefits package Remote work flexibility Opportunity to grow within a dynamic healthcare revenue cycle team
