Fair Acres Geriatric Center, located in Media, PA, is owned and operated by the County of Delaware. With over 200 years of service to the community, Fair Acres is Delaware County’s Skilled Nursing Facility. The center consists of eighteen buildings on a 210-acre tract in Lima, Pennsylvania, including five resident buildings with skilled nursing units accommodating over 900 residents. Fair Acres Geriatric Center is approved for operation by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and is certified for participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs. It is also a member of the Pennsylvania Association of County Affiliated Homes and serves as a geriatric training site for nursing schools in the area.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Nurse at Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Media, PA. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing quality care and services to residents. Day-to-day tasks may include administering medications, monitoring patient vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, coordinating with other healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate medical records.


Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in geriatric care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting
  • Basic computer skills
  • Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
