Position Overview

The Advanced Diesel Technician will work closely with the Fleet Maintenance Manager. We seek a candidate who is not only skilled but also personable, reliable, and adaptable to various challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to powertrain, suspension, hydraulics, electrical systems, and lighting.
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics across all systems.
  • Assist fellow technicians with complex troubleshooting, utilizing effective communication through various platforms.
  • Perform repairs efficiently and within established timelines.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies in all job aspects.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and facilities responsibly.
  • Recognize the significance of attendance and punctuality in delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a diesel technician.
  • Possess a complete toolbox and master technician toolset.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage positively with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Welding and fabrication knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Ability to document work performed accurately and comprehensively.
Working Conditions

The working environment may include exposure to various atmospheric conditions, including:

  • Shop settings with machines, tools, heavy equipment, chemicals, and dust.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme weather and loud noises.
  • Physical demands such as lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Frequent activities including standing, walking, and grasping.
