Upscale Host/Hostess Position at Marlow's TavernWe are seeking an experienced upscale Host/Hostess to become an integral part of Marlow's TavernAs a Host/Hostess, you are the main point of contact for and with our guests, guiding them through a great experience every day. Your mission is to create a personalized and memorable experience with every interaction, creating a deep bond with each guest, and providing a friendly & cheerful place for all guests by delivering exceptional service and world-class hospitality.As a Host/Hostess, you will interact with our guests personifying our company's philosophies, values, and guiding principles, serving as the champion of the "Hospitality First" vibe.Daily Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Communicate with all Managers/Chef de Cuisine to receive updates on food & beverage features and station assignmentsPrepares and sets assigned sections including booths, community tables, tables, and the patio for guests before the shiftConfirm reservations for the following dayPlace table settings and silverware rolls at each place setting to prepare tables for guestsInspect the building exterior by walking around the building to identify areas that may require immediate cleaningOrganize and maintain a restroom cleaning schedulePerforms additional duties including emptying trash and cleaning restrooms to ensure the tavern is organized and preparedExecutes Marlow's Tavern's top 3 priorities: Front door, running food & beverage, and answering phonesGreets guests, introduces themselves and presents guests with the menu at the tableAnswers questions a guest may have regarding food and beveragesRuns food from expo to guestsObserve guests' body language to anticipate guests' needs to add value to the guests' experience and promote repeat businessListens to guests' complaints and comments and informs the managerThank the guests, bid a fond farewell, and invites them to return as they leave The WoodallSweep floors in the dining area, lobby, etc., with a broom to remove trash and to maintain the cleanliness of the tavernMonitors dining room tables to ensure they meet or exceed standards (ex. proper table symmetry, non-streaked glassware)Prepares tables for each party of guests by removing dirty dishes and linens, sweeping the floor and wiping seats around the table, and resetting the table with fresh paper and clean dishesCarries dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware out of the dining room and bar to the dish area for cleaningAssists other team members and guests as needed to ensure teamworkInspects and maintains restrooms by replenishing toiletries, wiping down surfaces with a sanitized cloth, and cleaning up spills to ensure clean, well-stocked restroomsEnsures that tables are set and the dining room is immaculate before the start of the next shiftCompletes all closing duties, including stocking, cleaning, etc., as assignedCheck out with a manager before leaving to ensure all duties and side work have been completed and performed to standardReads work schedule to determine when the next shift and work time will occurReasons to join our team include:Flexible HoursPaid VacationMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance providedRoom for AdvancementRequirements:Entry level acceptable 1 year high volume Host/Hostess experience preferredCustomer service experience preferredMust be the minimum age to serve alcohol and able to obtain a county liquor licenseAuthorized to work in USMarlow's Tavern is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, gender, sex, ancestry, citizenship status, mental or physical disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, veteran status, or military status.
