Travel Surgical Scrub Technician (Rochester, NY)

Compensation:

Total weekly compensation: $2,288.00

Duties:

Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining a sterile environment.
Ensure proper setup and handling of surgical instruments and supplies.
Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with surgical equipment.
Ensure compliance with all infection control policies and procedures.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician required.
Proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures including Ortho, Neuro, Robot, GYN, Urology, General, and Vascular surgeries.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems.

Requirements:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Ability to be flexible with time schedule and location within the Rochester area.
Call requirement: 3 call shifts each 6-week time block, including weekends and holidays (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
