Truss Designer

As a Full-Time Onsite Truss Designer, you will become an important component of our customer’s success while working as a valued member of our team by designing and estimating Trusses. This is not a remote position. We are looking for someone that lives in the Salt Lake City Metro area.

A Day in the life of a Super Star Truss Designer and Estimator:

• Design and estimate wood trusses
• Lay out, plan, & design truss systems for small commercial and residential buildings
• Create truss placement drawings (TPD) for floor and roof plans using MiTek
• Discuss changes in designs with architects, engineers, and other designers
• Communicate professionally with our sales team and our customers providing stellar customer service

Experience:

• One year of truss designing and/or truss estimating
• Strong interpersonal communication and social skills are a must
• Experience creating rough and detailed scale plans for trusses based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other data
