Description

Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing facility construction and maintenance functions as well as performing routine scheduled maintenance, which do not require the expertise of a licensed professional. Secures bids and negotiates vendor service and supply contracts within prescribed limits (i.e. HVAC, lawn, janitorial, etc.). Reviews work and billing. Ensures that supplies, equipment, and services purchased are of acceptable quality at the least possible cost. Ensures that facilities and purchasing functions are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Recommends actions regarding repairs, remodeling, and construction needs. Coordinates maintenance activities. Ensures that facilities are in compliance with legal regulations including ADA and OSHA specifications. This position requires frequent local travel to branch locations.

  • Manages the maintenance of building, grounds and equipment for all branch locations.
  • Plans, budgets and coordinates maintenance functions.
  • Secures bids and negotiates vendor service and supply contracts within the confines of annual budget.
  • Oversees vendor, contractor and supplier contracts. Continually evaluates services of vendors and suppliers. Establishes and maintains updated lists of alternate vendors.
  • Conducts monthly inspections of facilities and assesses problems and needs. Provides maintenance and repair recommendations.
  • Responsible for on-going preventative maintenance and miscellaneous ‘hands on‘ service as needed.
  • Develops policies and procedures impacting branch facilities, including but not limited to fire evacuation plans and disaster response.
  • Ensure facilities compliance with legal requirements, such as ADA and OSHA.
  • Ensures that facilities issues are promptly tracked and resolved.
  • Prepares and stocks facilities for inclement weather or emergency conditions.
  • Serves as liaison between the Credit Union and its vendors. Must project and maintain the Credit Union‘s professional reputation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Promotes and establishes strong, positive and productive working relationships within the organization through commitment to the company‘s purpose, mission and core values.

Knowledge of ADA and OSHA regulations. (preferred)
Knowledge of blueprint reading and understanding of architectural drawings. (preferred)
Understanding of building maintenance, repairs and construction procedures. (preferred)
5-8 years of experience managing a facility; experience managing multiple facilities preferred. (required)
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training and business coursework preferred. (required)
