District Manager Purpose

District Managers provide leadership, coaching, and direction to their assigned restaurants, to maximize the long-term sales and profit potential of each restaurant. Builds a positive business relationship with Restaurant Managers and the Restaurant Management Team.

Principal Accountabilities

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

People

  • Enforces basic people minimums necessary to gain commitment from the Crew and Restaurant Management Team.
  • Creates long-term objectives and action plans for the restaurant management teams.
  • Ensures all assigned restaurants are adequately staffed to maximize sales and potential.
  • Knows, enforces and educates all restaurant employees on all appropriate HR policies, labor laws, security and safety procedures.
  • Develops, trains, rewards and recognizes the results of all levels of restaurant employees.

QSC/Sales Building

  • Protects the McDonald’s brand by ensuring the restaurants meets McDonald’s Quality, Service and Cleanliness, safety and sanitation standards.
  • Coaches Restaurant Management Teams in critical restaurant systems that consistently produce high levels of results.
  • Ensures that restaurants properly execute marketing promotions
  • Create long-term objectives and action plans for sales building.

Business Results

  • Consults and creates a positive work environment while working alongside Restaurant Teams to create and accomplish business and profit plan objectives.
  • Completes various audits to ensure that their restaurants meet McDonald’s standard practices and procedures regarding cash, security etc.
