Role Description
This is a full-time on-site locums role for a Psychiatrist up to 365 hourly at CA Corrections Stockton Crisis beds. Assignments are 3-6 months. This a disadvantaged population with many challenges. Background check and drug testing is required. Security for the staff is good. Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments to patients. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, monitor patients' progress, and make necessary adjustments to medications and therapies. The Psychiatrist will also participate in case consultations and provide clinical supervision to other staff members.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Psychiatry
- Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Psychiatry
- Valid medical license to practice Psychiatry in the state of California
- Experience in psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and current treatment modalities in Psychiatry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Criminal background check is required
- Drug test is required
