As a Door Knocking Appointment Setter for Solar, your primary role is to generate leads and schedule appointments with homeowners interested in solar energy solutions by canvassing residential neighborhoods and engaging potential customers in conversation. You will be responsible for initiating contact, introducing our company's solar offerings, and arranging appointments for our sales representatives to conduct in-home consultations.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Canvass Residential Areas: Conduct door-to-door outreach in designated residential neighborhoods to identify potential leads interested in solar energy solutions.


2. Initiate Contact: Approach homeowners in a friendly and professional manner, introduce yourself, and initiate conversations to assess their interest in solar energy and their current energy needs.


3. Educate Homeowners: Provide basic information about solar energy technology, its environmental benefits, potential cost savings, available incentives, and financing options to pique homeowners' interest and generate curiosity.


4. Qualify Leads: Ask probing questions to determine homeowners' level of interest, their energy consumption patterns, the suitability of their property for solar installations, and any specific concerns or preferences they may have.


5. Schedule Appointments: Effectively communicate the value proposition of our solar energy solutions and persuade interested homeowners to schedule appointments for in-home consultations with our sales representatives.


6. Record Information: Maintain accurate records of door-to-door interactions, including homeowner contact information, lead qualifications, appointment scheduling details, and any other relevant data in the company's CRM system.


7. Follow-Up: Follow up with leads who express interest but are not ready to schedule appointments immediately, nurture relationships through regular communication, and schedule follow-up appointments as appropriate.


8. Collaborate with Sales Team: Coordinate with the sales team to ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads, provide detailed information about scheduled appointments, and facilitate the scheduling of appointments according to sales representatives' availability.


Qualifications:


- Previous experience in door-to-door sales, appointment setting, or customer-facing roles is preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage homeowners in conversation and build rapport quickly.

- Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

- Basic knowledge of solar energy technology, financing options, and environmental benefits is advantageous.

- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet or exceed lead generation targets.

- Resilience and persistence in overcoming objections and rejections to achieve appointment-setting goals.

- Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions.

- Proficiency in using mobile devices, tablets, or other technology for recording information and scheduling appointments.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred for mobility between neighborhoods.
