Job Overview

We are seeking highly skilled Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAs) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our team on a PRN basis. As a member of our cardiothoracic anesthesia team, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated at $200 per hour, with opportunities for additional compensation through a monthly bonus program. Our comprehensive benefits package includes eligibility for Emory Healthcare's High Deductible Health Plan and the 403(b) Retirement Plan.

Job Responsibilities

As a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist Assistant or CRNA, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the administration of general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients
  • Performing initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed by a physician
  • Instructing others in principles and practices of anesthesia, respiratory care, and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as directed by the anesthesiologist
  • Interpreting and recording patient's physiological and pharmacological status, assisting the anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data
  • Assisting in research projects as carried out by an anesthesiologist
Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master's Degree program
  • Be licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Be certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
  • Maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs)
  • Hold BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Carrying objects up to 25 lbs
  • Occasional to frequent standing and walking
  • Occasional sitting
