Nurses Etc. Staffing is currently looking for committed Inpatient Psychiatric Registered Nurse to fill positions across various shifts (PRN, Part-time, and Full-time) at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. Excellent Compensation:
Shift Differential:
$4/hour Weekend Night Shift
$3/hour Night Shift
$2/hour Weekend Day Shift
$1/hour Charge Nurse

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Certification/Licensure:

Current, Unrestricted RN License from any U.S. state, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of Inpatient Psychiatric RN experience within the last 2 years.

Skills and Competencies:

Expertise in psychiatric care and patient-centered care.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in documentation and crisis management.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Inpatient Psychiatric Care: Deliver high-quality care in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Assessment and Treatment: Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatments.
Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals for comprehensive care.
Patient Education: Educate patients and families on psychiatric conditions and treatments.
Crisis Intervention: Manage and de-escalate psychiatric emergencies.
