Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

Job Specialty: Adult Med-Surg

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 nights per week (6:00 pm - 6:30 am), with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Experience preferred, but not required

License: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license

Certifications: BLS, ACLS as indicated by the area of responsibility

Must-Have:
- Immunizations including MMR, Varicella, Polio, Hepatitis B, TDaP, COVID-19, and flu vaccination during flu season
- Proof of Negative 2-step Mantoux or QuantiFERON Gold test
- Proof of physical examination within 1 year
- 10 Panel Drug Screen within 1 month of start
- Respiratory Fit Test within 1 year
- Criminal background check and sex offender check
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates for Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse
- Completion of CareLearning education modules

Job Description:
- Plan and provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs
- Direct and guide patient teaching
- Oversee activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
- Utilize EPIC EMR system
- Provide holiday coverage as required
