Are you ready to go beyond?We have an immediate need for an Electronic System Technician on 1st shift.What You Will Do:Reads and interprets board layouts, schematics and BOMsTests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics to diagnose causes of the malfunction and repair.Adjusts, modifies and repairs electronic systems, works from sketches, layouts, and diagrams.Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.Maintains electric and electronic test equipment.Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.Disassembles manual equipment and replaces it with new or repaired parts.Uses hand tools, power tools, and simple machine tools to repair manufacturing equipment.Performs Preventative Maintenance on manufacturing equipment.Performs General Maintenance duties as needed.Performs system calibrations and recordingsQualifications You Must Have:HS Diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in a related field.Broad knowledge of electronics and electrical theory, including A.C., D.C. and solid state theory, polyphase power, and a thorough understanding of computer operations and codes, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics, and their interdependence in control systems.Use math through trig, work from complex schematics and technical material, and a variety of test equipment.Qualifications We Prefer:Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or Completed 4-year Apprenticeship4+ years' experience Aerospace/Manufacturing3+ years electronics/electrical trades experience, working on and servicing CNC machinesLicensed electrician E1/E2Qualifications We Value:In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).What is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
