Job Title: Frontend Software Engineer React

Job Type: Contract

Job Duration: 3 to 6 months, possible extension or possible conversion to FTE

Job Location: Hybrid; consultant must use their own computer

Position Summary: The Frontend Software Engineer will be part of a team of contract developers to design and implement new features and integrations for company IoT products and systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging responsive web and mobile applications for the company. Using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, this candidate will be able to translate user and business needs into functional frontend design.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and testing UI for mobile and web applications
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Accurately translate user and business needs into functional frontend code

Qualifications:

Education: B.S or M.S degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other applicable engineering discipline.

Experience: B.S and 5+ years or M.S. and 2+ years of software development experience across broad technologies and frameworks

• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills; ability to conduct peer review of code, and approval of pull requests
• Development of technical documentation on applications and systems
• Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams

Required Skills:

• Expert in JavaScript and Typescript
• Experience working with React; experience with Preact is a plus
• Integrating User authentication and authorization between multiple systems
• Experience developing and deploying to cloud-based services, preferably AWS
• Strong understanding and implementation of REST services for web applications
• Strong understanding of Information Security best practices
• Strong understanding of cross-platform functionality and compatibility of applications
• Experience working in agile teams with CI/CD processes

• Preferred Skills: Experience working with AWS serverless architectures consisting of Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, etc
• Experience working on internal & external facing web dashboards
