We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips.Expected work schedule for the Content Specialist:Full- or part-time, flexible scheduleOccasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projectsAttendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff RetreatsPay structure for a Content Specialist:Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expensesTraining is provided to develop a team of ministry partnersPay range is typically between $25,709 and $80,000 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factorsContent Specialist Benefits:Paid vacation, sick, holidays, and more (once eligible)Health benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for eligible staffFlexible hours and work-from-home availabilityStaff care to support mental, social, and spiritual health for all staffAbout the area and Responsibilities of a Content Specialist:The overall role of the Content Specialist is to assist the local IFI Columbus team in capturing, editing and publishing stories and articles via video, photographs, and interviews that engage and provide value to our main constituents. They will work closely with the Asst. Director of Mission Support or the Communications Manager, mobilization team, campus ministry team, and others, as a communications partner on a variety of strategic initiatives. This position is part of the Central Ohio ministry team and requires the candidate to live in or near Columbus, OH.The Content Specialist will (list not all inclusive):Interview individuals via email, phone or in-person to gather contentCompile notes from interviews into written articles.Write content to be published in IFI's E-newsletters, social media, website, donation receipts and moreUpdate event registration formsCreate video scripts, edit video and take and edit photographs at eventsSearch for high value content by reading IFI MPD e-newsletters, attending presentations and other meetings, reading meeting notes and moreSuggest content that should be shared, determining the appropriate medium and audienceFormat content for publication on e-newsletters, letters, text messages, social media and moreQualifications needed of a Content Specialist, including Spiritual Characteristics:Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policiesIs faithful, loyal, and dedicated to IFI's mission from the Lord to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students out of reverence for JesusWell organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independentlyHas a shepherd's heart for Internationals, a teachable and submissive spirit, and spiritual maturityCommitted to sharing faith in the context of personal relationships and investing deeply in students' livesProficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applicationsEducation/Experience Preferred for a Content Specialist:Training, experience, or certification in creative writingWillingness to use/learn Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud apps, including, but not limited to, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is preferredExperience in cross-cultural ministry is preferredInternational Friendships, Inc.
