Onsite Software Engineer

In this role, you will play a key role in the success of the newly built platform and application aimed at moving large amounts of digital content in a post-production environment. You will utilize your skills with React, Node, TypeScript, and NextJS as they further enhance features and move vendors and internal users to the platform. As a Cloud based platform, you will use your AWS experience and skills to ensure applications are designed to meet team and vendor needs. This is a highly secured environment that requires knowledge of application security but is focused on development and enhancement over security functions.


This is a hybrid work environment, and working onsite 3 days a week in Glendale, CA is mandatory.


  • Collaborate with a team of software engineers and subject matter experts to build, test, and deploy software solutions for workflows on time.
  • Work with fellow engineers to create essential services/APIs needed for diverse applications.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to support the UI Implementation & co-ordinate with additional team for backend functionality
  • Innovate & collaborate with the Content Security teams to provide Safe, Secure & Reliable applications for Digital Studios
  • Troubleshoot Ongoing & Production Support issues and implement defect fixes.
  • Work within an agile scrum process using Epics/User stories/Tasks.
  • Provide transparency with the delays/challenges across the project to Leads


Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of Software Development experience with an emphasis on React, Next, Node, and TypeScript
  • Advanced experience with cloud-based applications and using AWS as your primary cloud platform
  • Hands on experience with AWS Serverless Technologies (Lambdas, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, Event bridge, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch)
  • Hands On experience building large scale platform/enterprise solutions and developing enhancements, and working with a team to develop customized solutions
  • Experience working with applications dealing with large amounts of data (Terabytes) required, and experience digital transfer technologies ideal.
  • Experience with applications in highly secure environments required.
  • Ability to be a great team player to support Complex, Technical Projects
  • Proficient in working with Open APIs, API Gateway
  • Experience with Material UI, Event Driven Architecture
  • Database experience with Postgres or any other relational DB
  • Security experience with SML, SSO, JWT
  • Knowledge and experience using Source Control and CI tools (GitLab/GitHub), Terraform & Agile/Scrum Methodologies
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Media & Entertainment Industry helpful, but not required.
