Overview:


We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance the infrastructure supporting product development, production, and deployment. Your role will be critical in optimizing our state-of-the-art sensor network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving complex problems.


Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management:
  • Design, extend, and optimize existing DevOps infrastructure.
  • Develop scalable deployment and configuration strategies for local and remote embedded devices and servers.
  • Investigate and implement performance improvements for existing build systems.
  • Enhance automation and coverage of continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and address infrastructure issues.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in collaborative design and code reviews.
  • Document and communicate designs clearly to peers.



Requirements:


  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and tackle technical challenges through teamwork.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies (Salt, Ansible, Chef).
  • Proficiency in Configuration Management tools (Git, Perforce).
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, JFrog Artifactory).
  • Expertise in Shell/Bash and additional scripting languages (Python, Ruby).
  • Strong understanding of Linux-based and open-source systems.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud infrastructures is beneficial.

Compensation:


  • Salary Range: $100,000 to $128,000 annually, based in Syracuse, NY. Salary is determined by factors such as location, education, experience, and skills.
