JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Prepare income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, not-for-profit organizations and retirement plans.
  • Assists associate and staff accountants with general tax return problems.
  • Prepare payroll tax and sales tax returns.
  • Prepare and analyze tax planning projections.
  • Quantify and document federal and state income tax liabilities for tax returns, extensions and estimated payments.
  • Perform research on technical tax issues and respond to client inquiries and taxing authority notices.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Valid license as a Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of completing requirements for licensure
  • 2+ years of experience in public accounting with the demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including expertise with US GAAP
  • Proficiency with computer tax preparation, research, and planning software programs
