Day to day:

Our client is on the lookout for an Electrical Engineer with a dynamic approach to spearhead the management of essential systems and infrastructure. This critical position guarantees the reliability and integrity of our plant and system operations. We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in the successful management of significant engineering projects. The role demands a strategic thinker who is adept at keeping detailed records and upholding all processes to the highest safety and efficiency standards. The selected candidate will dedicate 25-30% of their time to troubleshooting, assisting technicians in diagnosing equipment failures. The remainder of the role will involve project work, including the installation and design of equipment. The individual will also be responsible for translating design elements into actionable project plans.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert recommendations and perform advanced technical engineering functions.
  • Project Management: Oversee large, complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring scope, cost, and justification align with organizational goals.
  • Design & Innovation: Generate and revise technical drawings, inspect equipment, and analyze deviations from original designs to enhance system performance.
  • Documentation & Safety: Manage comprehensive documentation, mapping, and safety protocols for the PUD’s infrastructure, including hydro-electric facilities and power delivery assets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining robust relationships and clear communication.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections, collaborate with contractors, and ensure project adherence to approved plans.
  • Professional Development: Engage in increasingly complex engineering tasks, gaining autonomy and expertise.
  • Financial Planning: Contribute to budget formulation for various project phases, including planning, design, regulatory, and construction.
  • Project Coordination: Prepare project scopes, estimates, budgets, and maintain schedules to ensure timely completion.
