Job TitleSAP IS-U Device Management Functional ConsultantClient IndustryEnergy & UtilitiesLocationBellevue, WA (Local candidates only)Job TypeContractOverviewWe are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Device Management Functional Consultant to support a long-term utility transformation initiative focused on advanced metering, device lifecycle management, and Distributed Energy Resources (DER). This role will support analysis, configuration, testing, and delivery of SAP IS-U Device Management solutions across multiple project phases.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, design, configure, and test SAP IS-U Device Management functionalityConfigure technical master data, device master data, scheduling master data, and meter reading processesSupport device lifecycle, work management, and exception handling using EMMA/BPEMConfigure and support EDM profiles, TOU functionality, and interval data scenariosAnalyze and resolve issues related to device management, meter reading, and BPEM workflowsSupport integration with Billing, Front Office, MDMS, AMI, Inventory Management, and Plant MaintenanceSupport Net Metering, Aggregate Billing, and interval billing device scenariosParticipate in requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live supportCollaborate with cross-functional SMEs to assess downstream impacts of device and meter changesRequired Skills & Experience8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Device ManagementStrong experience in:Device master data and technical master data configurationMeter reading and work management processesEMMA/BPEM configuration and issue resolutionExperience integrating IS-U Device Management with:BillingFront OfficeMDMS / AMI systemsInventory Management and Plant MaintenanceExperience with TOU enablement and EDM profile configurationSolid understanding of IS-U data model and end-to-end utility processesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skillsPreferred SkillsExperience supporting Distributed Energy Resources (DER) initiativesExposure to:Distributed Solar and Community Solar programsNet Metering 2.0Battery storage and demand response programsEV fleet or depot charging solutionsExperience supporting billing standardization, audit initiatives, or time-varying rates (TVR)Prior experience in large utility or energy-sector SAP programsProject ContextThis role supports initiatives related to Distributed Energy Resources (DER), including renewable energy programs, battery storage, demand response, EV fleet charging, and billing standardization. The focus is on enabling accurate device and meter data capture to support complex billing and time-varying rate structures across utility customers.
